TARGET AUDIENCE

  • Blog -EndoTalk
  • Target age group – 14 to 49 (women)
  • Social media platforms for Endotalk – Instagram and Twitter

Broadly every person aged above 14 is target irrespective of their gender. So that every person who reads or gets informed by our social media websites about endometriosis should be able to aware their loved ones around him or her. Specifically it focuses on women aged 14 to 49 all around the world, i.e. fertility years of a women’s life . As endometriosis occurs to these aged women. (Endometriosis.org, 2018)

We are going to target audience for information regarding Endo through 2 social media websites, Instagram and Twitter. We chose Twitter because it has shown a great growth since it has been launched. Now there are more than 335 million monthly active users for twitter across the globe. People use this platform for informational content and more relevant data is posted here (portal, 2018). (today, 2018)

Other than twitter, we are using Instagram as second platform to talk about endometriosis. We choose Instagram because statics show that more of active Instagram users are 15% women aged between 15-24 worldwide. According to stats of 2017, it shows that there are 800 million monthly active users worldwide of Instagram. Out of total share 38% of women use Instagram globally of all ages above 14. Figures show almost 9 million monthly users of Instagram are from Australia. As well as twitter shows 3 million active monthly users from Australia. (socialmedinews.com.au, 2018) (Omnicore, 2018) (Statista, 2018)

These all figures above lead us to use Instagram and twitter as social media websites to share content regarding endometriosis . Adding to it, when found by Roy Morgan study it showed Australian women aged 14-24 as the biggest users of social media. Australian women spend more than 56 minutes per day on average as compared to that of men. (Morgan, 2018)

All this research has lead us to choose Instagram and Twitter as our official social media media platform of EndoTalk.
